This blog was pretty good. I am a very creative person, and I express myself through my creativity. I would hate to stifle a child’s creative flow just because he/she doesn’t fit into the mold of a traditional paper/book/pencil learner.

Mr. Mercer – I read another blogger that had a great idea of using blogs as part of a Sustained Silent Reading program (BBK). Marzano says to allow children to read what intersts them, and I thought this was a novel approach to reading. My blog can link you to this site:

I liked that blog too, and I have that book about DaVinci at home. Speaking science-teacher-to-science-teacher, I think sometimes you just have to hand students a bunch of interesting things (magnets, wires, batteries, bulbs, etc.) and say, “You have 45 minutes to make a discovery and write about it. Good luck and have fun.”
